Who I am…
My name is Helmuth R. Krause, and I was born in Marathon County, Wisconsin in 1932. I grew up in a hard-working, honest family, a lifestyle that I have proudly passed on to my children and grandchildren. I am a 91-year-old, partly retired farmer, as well as a Korean War Vet. At my home farm I take care of 50 head of cattle and their calves.
With my wife Ruth we run a small maple syrup operation. We also attend farmers markets where we sell our syrup, as well as pies cooked by Ruth and vegetables grown in my garden.

What I Want…
What I want is honesty and integrity within our justice system, in short, equal justice FOR ALL. Which is a major theme and inspiration for writing my book. I would like to see changes made to our justice system that could make this possible. Such as laws which would allow oversight of court cases, where too often the laws are set aside, and the judges create their own to favor their cronies.
So, I wrote a book about these views, among other things.
-Helmuth Krause
Helmuth and his wife Ruth live on 160 acres of farmland and forest in hilly, rural southwest, Wisconsin. Together they raised four children and have ten grandchildren. They are well known maple syrup producers and have been a fixture at regional farmers' markets for 35 years.
Helmuth enjoys being in the woods, gardening, and spending time with his family. He is a keen observer of nature and knows the importance of being a good steward of the land. He has made an impact in his community by contributing to community benefits and local food pantries, which serve as only a small part of his legacy. At ninety years old, he still helps out on the family farm, grows a large garden, and runs the family's maple syrup production.
