At ninety years old, Helmuth Krause still helps out on the family farm, grows a large garden, and runs the family's maple syrup production. In his first book, he recalls the journey of his life as a young boy of mixed blood born in the great depression into poverty. He hopes to inspire others to be appreciative of all people, all animals, and all land.
